HARRISBURG -- Altoona swept its way past Central Dauphin East with scores of 25-20, 25-22 and 25-21 in boys high school volleyball action Monday night.
With the win, Altoona moved to 7-6 while CD East dropped to 4-14.
Caleb Fries led the Mountain Lions with 10 digs, seven service points, five kills and two blocks, while Sam Kessinger dished out 26 assists and eight digs, and Nino Yohn came up with 14 digs.

All-stars named
The Mid-State Boys Volleyball League released its 2024 all-star team on Monday, voted on by the league's coaches, featuring 15 names including three from two Blair County schools.
Making the team for Central were Christian Heuston, a sophomore opposite and teammate Bryson Brooks, a junior outside hitter. Bishop Guilfoyle's Noah Kelleher made it as a senior middle hitter.
