BELLWOOD -- Maria Malone struck out 13 and walked two in leading the Hollidaysburg Area High School softball team to a 12-1 win over Bellwood-Antis in six innings Tuesday.
Malone also helped out her own cause with two RBIs for the Lady Tigers (7-9). Mikaylah Vincent led with three RBIs while Lexi Peacock, Hallee Chandler and Maya Gearhart each added two RBIs for Hollidaysburg, which was up 4-0 after three innings.

SPRING MILLS -- Tyrone swept a twinbill from Penns Valley, winning the first game, 1-0, and the nightcap, 5-1, to improve to 10-7.
Kait Rockwell pitched a five-hit shutout and scored the only run -- in the seventh -- in the 1-0 victory. She struck out three and walked only one.
In the 5-1 win, Tyrone got solo RBI efforts from Ally McNelis, KK Brodzina and Samantha Shaw. Brodzina also had two hits for the Lady Eagles. Rockwell also won game 2.

EBENSBURG -- Olivia Janosik celebrated her senior night by belting a three-run home run in Central Cambria's 14-4 six-inning win over Westmont Hilltop.
Aubrey Ruddek, who had three hits, and Katie George also homered for the Lady Red Devils. Camryn Martin also had three hits for Central Cambria, now 14-4.

Bulldogs hold on
CLAYSBURG -- Claysburg-Kimmel survived giving up six runs in the fifth inning in getting a 10-7 win over Mount Union.
Zakera Bush had three hits and two RBIs for the Lady Bulldogs (16-1). Teammates McKenna Black and Bella Francona each added two RBIs to go with two hits and two runs scored by Emalee Cavender. One of Black's hits was a home run. C-K also got two hits from Payton Hinish and Jenna Helsel.
Mount Union, which led 6-5 after its big fifth inning, fell to 9-9.
