The Hollidaysburg softball team evened its record at 10-10 on Tuesday afternoon, thanks to a 6-1 win over Altoona in high school play at Logan Elementary.
Winning pitcher Maria Malone struck out eight, scattered three hits and did not walk a batter. Mikaylah Vincent drove in two runs while Sydney Shay added a solo RBI effort. Shay and Maggie Hicks each had two hits.
The Lady Lions (1-16) got two hits from Skyler Reed and a home run from Lilly Snyder.
The two schools used the game to help raise $4,000 for Sideline Cancer which will benefit AASD biology teacher Heather Partsch.
Altoona seniors honored in their final home game were Haley Wible, Mackenzie Woodring, Baylee Newman and Cordelia Maher.

Marauders fall
The Bald Eagle Area baseball team broke open a 10-6 game with 10 runs in the top of the sixth inning on Tuesday en route to a 20-6 victory over Bishop Guilfoyle in high school play at Vets Field.
Carson Nagle had two doubles, three hits total, and four RBIs for the Eagles, who improved to 18-2. Cam Watkins added two hits and an RBI to go with two RBIs from Brayden Dubbs.
The Marauders, who fell to 5-14, got two hits and an RBI from Kaden Wyandt.
