Central swept its way past Bishop Guilfoyle 25-18, 25-14 and 25-12 in three sets on Thursday night in boys high school volleyball play.
Christian Heuston led the Dragons with eight kills and seven service points, Logan Hummel totaled 25 assists, Blake Reynolds added 16 digs, while Bryson Brooks had eight kills and three blocks. Hayden Smith came up with five kills and six blocks.
Brenden Young paced the Marauders with 16 assists and four service points, while Noah Kelleher had eight kills and five digs, and Marklin Myers came up with seven kills, four digs and three blocks.

Lions defeated
Altoona pushed Central Dauphin to a fifth set but ultimately came up on the short end of a 3-2 loss in boys high school volleyball.
CD won the first 25-21 before the Mountain Lions came back to take the next two (25-19, 25-16) only to have Central Dauphin claim the final two by scores of 25-22 and 15-9.
Sam Kessinger led the way for Altoona with 36 assists, 15 digs and 10 service points, while Nino Yohn had 36 digs and 10 points and Caleb Fries delivered 17 kills and 16 digs and Noah Fries had 18 digs

NBC boys 2nd
MCCONNELLSBURG -- The Northern Bedford boys track and field team finished in second place with 67.5 points at a quad meet with James Buchanan, McConnellsburg and Southern Fulton.
JB won on the boys side with 124 points, the Spartans were third with 64.5 and the Indians were fourth with 20 points.
Dhylan Miller was the lone Black Panther winner as he captured the 3200 run.
On the girls side, JB took the crown with 137 points followed by McConnellsburg with 77, NBC with 40 and Southern had 14.
The Lady Panthers' 3200 relay team was the only first-place finish for NB.
