Altoona won its first game of the year in dramatic fashion as Vionna Jackson hit a walkoff two-run double to lift the Lady Lions to a 6-5 win over Cedar Cliff at Logan Elementary in high school softball play on Wednesday.
Lilly Snyder and Mary Worley, who hit their first career home runs, had three hits each for Altoona.
Winning pitcher Charli Schneider threw a complete game with four strikeouts, six hits and only one earned run given up.
Altoona, which collected 15 hits, got three from Haley Wible, while Jackson and Kendall Cogan came through with two apiece.
