CRESSON -- Winning pitcher Ryan Hanlon struck out eight, walked two and drove in a run at the plate in helping Penn Cambria shut out previously unbeaten Richland, 4-0, Thursday afternoon in high school baseball action.
The win improved the Panthers to 3-5 on the season while the Rams fell to 7-1.
Derek Hite came through with two hits and an RBI for the Panthers, who led 2-0 after four innings of play.
Teammate Caden Gibbons scored twice and Easton Semelsberger knocked in a run.

BELLWOOD -- Bellwood-Antis scored three runs in the first inning and four more in the sixth of a 7-2 victory over Glendale.
Winning pitcher Vincent Cacciotti struck out four over five innings and added an RBI, while Cam Swogger, Tanner Swogger, Zach Pier and Chase Plummer knocked in one run each for the Blue Devils.
Bryson Davis went 3-for-4 to lead the Vikings.
With the win, Bellwood-Antis improved to 4-5 while the Vikings saw their record drop to 5-3.

Portage loses late
BLAIRSVILLE-- River Valley came through with three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to hand Portage a 7-6 loss, who were handed their fifth loss in eight games this season.
Jacob McCoy had two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs for the Mustangs, who had a 5-1 lead after three innings of play.
Easton Slanoc tallied two hits, including a solo homer, Connor Binaut registered two hits and Justin Morgan delivered a solo blast.
River Valley improved its record to 4-5 on the season.
