The top two seeds -- No. 1 Xane Whitesel of Juniata and No. 2 Nilesh Singh of Richland -- advanced to the finals of the District 6 Class 2A Singles Tennis Tournament on Monday afternoon.
Each won two matches at the Mansion Park courts. Whitesel beat Bishop McCort's Cameron Smith, 6-1, 6-1, and Westmont Hilltop's Sebastian Masterson, 6-1, 6-3, and Singh topped Maverick Fleck of Tyrone, 6-1, 6-1, and Easton Ragno of Westmont, 6-1, 6-3.
The two will face each other at noon Wednesday. The District 4-6 Class 3A tournament will be held today.

Tigers win again
HOLLIDAYSBURG -- Hollidaysburg swept all four singles matches en route to a 4-3 victory over Saint Marys.
Ben Johnson, Garrett Bouchard, Michael Waibel and Felix Xu claimed wins for the Golden Tigers, which wrapped up a 16-0 regular season.
Hollidaysburg recognized five seniors as Johnson, Jude Irwin, Nathan Karn, Kaden Kirkham and Eric Pick were honored on senior day.

Savanna Hershberger captured the 800 and 1600 runs for the Lady Panthers in a 112-23 win over FM and a 99-51 loss to Southern.
