BELLWOOD -- The Central Cambria softball team improved to 8-1 Friday afternoon, thanks to a 15-0 win in five innings over Bellwood-Antis in high school play.
The Lady Red Devils, who led 5-0 after one inning, got two hits, including a double, and four RBIs from Rowyn Ruddek. Teammate Lakelynn Campbell added two hits, including a double. Ruddek also got the win, giving up just one hit.
London McKee had the lone hit for the Lady Blue Devils (2-5).

MARTINSBURG -- Central scored in every inning and evened its record at 4-4 with a 14-3 win over Penn Cambria in five innings.
Madison Kennedy threw a four-hitter with seven strikeouts for Central. The Lady Dragons received three hits and four RBIs from Ashlyn Renner, two hits and three RBIs from Kaylee Kensinger, two hits and two RBIs from Bralyn Ellis, two hits from Aubry Rhodes and two RBIs from Riley Peterson.
Penn Cambria's Sophia Rabatin hit a home run, and Avery Cavalet drove in two runs.

HOLLIDAYSBURG -- Westmont Hilltop broke open a 6-6 game with seven runs in the top of the seventh inning and beat Hollidaysburg, 13-9.
Mikaylah Vincent went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Lady Tigers, Sydney Shay drove in two runs, and Lexi Peacock, Maria Malone and Sophia Morris each had two hits.
