HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Altoona Area High School girls track and field team completed a perfect dual-meet season.
The Lady Lions wrapped up a 9-0 regular season with a 109.5-40.5 victory over rival Hollidaysburg on Monday at Tiger Stadium.
The Altoona girls boasted four double-winners with Hailey Kravetz winning the 100-meter hurdles in 15.96 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 45.76, Ashlyn Noce placing first in the 800 run in 2:24.27 and the 1600 run in 5:33.47, Jill Long taking the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 1 inch and the triple jump with a 46-8, and Kihlee Noel winning the shot put at 36-6 and the discus with a 99-10.
Hollidaysburg's Elizabeth Frazier prevailed in both the 100 dash (12.80) and 200 dash (26.53).
Xavier Williams led the Altoona boys to a 105-45 victory by winning four individual events. Williams won the 110 hurdles (14.54), 300 hurdles (42.22), long jump (20-6) and triple jump (44-4).
Altoona's Colin Etters was a double-winner, placing first in the 200 dash (23.25) and 400 dash (53.9). The Altoona boys improved to 5-4.
Altoona will now host the Mountain Lion Classic this Friday before competing in the Mid-Penn championships in Chambersburg on May 11 and the District 6 Class 3A championships on May 14-15.
