MARTINSBURG -- The Central softball team evened its record at 2-2 Tuesday, thanks to an 11-7 win over Tyrone in high school play.
The Lady Dragons, who led 6-0 after four innings, got three RBIs from Riley Peterson and two each from Madison Kennedy and Kaylee Kensinger. One of Peterson's hits was a home run. Kensinger also had two hits. Teammate Aubry Rhodes had three hits and Alexis Fetzer added two.
Amariah Sprankle had two hts and three RBIs for Tyrone (2-1).

Tigers toppled
SPRING MILLS -- Sydney Shay had two RBIs and Lexi Peacock added two hits and a run scored for Hollidaysburg in a 6-2 loss to Penns Valley.
Shay's hit was a two-run homer for Hollidaysburg (3-3). The Lady Tigers, who made five errors in the game, gave up three unearned runs.

PORTAGE -- Northern Cambria broke open a close game with a four-run seventh inning in an 8-3 triumph over Portage.
