SIDMAN -- Central captured the first two sets (25-23 and 25-13), lost the third (25-18) and then won the fourth (25-21) to claim a 3-1 win over Forest Hills Monday night in boys high school volleyball.
Bryson Brooke led the Dragons with 14 kills and 14 digs, Christian Heuston tallied 11 kills, Hayden Smith had 10 kills.
Logan Hummel finished with 30 assists, while Blake Reynolds came up with 16 digs as Central improved to 3-7.

STATE COLLEGE -- Sam Kessinger delivered 21 assists to become to new leading in career assists in Altoona's 3-0 loss to State College.
The Mountain Lions were swept in three sets (25-14, 25-20, 25-20) by the Little Lions to drop to 5-4 on the season.
Caleb Fries had 13 kills and 11 digs, while Nino Yohn totaled 16 digs and Noah Fries accounted for nine digs and five kills for Altoona.
On Saturday, the JV team finished in fifth place out of 13 teams at the Penn Hills JV Invitational. Altoona defeated Summit Academy (25-12, 25-15), split with Penn Hills (19-25, 25-22) and were swept by Our Lady of Sacred Heart (25-17, 25-22) and Deer Lakes (25-17, 25-22).
In the play-in round of the gold playoffs, the team defeated Latrobe 25-15 before falling in the quarterfinals to Penn Hills by a 25-22 score.
