PORTAGE -- Katie Scott hit a three-run home run, and Olivia Janosik and Cam Matlin each had three hits for Central Cambria as the Lady Devils defeated Portage, 14-1, in the championship game of the Mayhem on the Mainline high school softball tournament on Sunday.
Rowyn Ruddek, who also had two hits and three stolen bases, struck out 10 batters while earning the win in the circle.
In the semifinal game, Central Cambria held off Penn Cambria, 4-3, despite the Lady Panthers scoring three times in the bottom of the seventh inning. Alyse Rabatin had a hit and two RBIs for Penn Cambria.
Scott and Aubrey Ruddek each had two hits in the semifinal game, and Sophia Blasko had two RBIs. Keira Link struck out seven batters and earned the win.
Portage defeated Bishop McCort, 11-5, in the other semifinal, and Penn Cambria topped the Lady Crushers, 17-7, in five innings in the consolation game.

Aidan Simpson went 3-for-5 over the doubleheader with a double and an RBI for the Bulldogs, and Zach Campagna hit a solo home run in the second game.
