SHIPPENSBURG -- The Altoona girls finished second among 60 teams at the 97th annual Jack Roddick Track and Field Invitational at Shippensburg University on Saturday.
Spring Grove won the girls field with 54 points, and Altoona was second with 52.75.
Altoona's Hailey Kravetz placed third in the 300-meter hurdles in 45.83 seconds and finished fifth in the 100 hurdles in 15.89, Kihlee Noel was third in the shot put with a throw of 38 feet, 0.25 inches, Ashlyn Noce finished fourth in the 3200 run in 11:09.96 and eighth in the 1600 run in 5:12.17, Mary Stoltz finished fourth in the 800 run in 2:19.15, Annalyse Yost was fourth in the javelin with a 127-8, Jill Long placed sixth in the long jump with a 16-10.75, and Triumph Kilmartin was seventh in the triple jump with a 35-7.
The Altoona girls 1600 relay placed second in 4:09.59, the 3200 relay was third in 9:43.38, and the 400 relay placed eighth in 50.90
The Hollidaysburg boys finished eighth among 57 teams in the boys field, which was won by State College. Altoona was tied for ninth, Penn Cambria was tied for 19th.
Hollidaysburg's Caden DeLattre was second in the triple jump at 46-6.75 and was third in the long jump at 22-6.25, Isaac Yarnell finished second in the 100 dash in 10.92, Nathan Grabill was tied for fifth in the high jump at 6-0, and Caleb Tryninewski finished seventh in the pole vault at 14-0.
The Altoona boys had two second-place finishers -- Nathan Lutz in the pole vault at 15-0 and Bron Mosley in the shot put at 56-1 -- and Xavier Williams was third in the triple jump at 44-1 and was fifth in the 110 hurdles in 14.89.
Penn Cambria's Josh Stolarski finished second in the 400 dash in 49.94 and placed fifth in the 200 dash in 23.07, and Carter McDermott was seventh in the long jump at 22-1.5.
Huntingdon's Tyler Rader won the 3200 run in 9:20.47 and the 2000 steeplechase in 6:24.20.
