Tyrone boys, Altoona girls triumph

The Tyrone Area and Altoona Area high school swim teams split a meet at the AAHS Fieldhouse pool on Monday.

The Eagles won the boys meet, 90-66, and the Lady Lions earned a 78-53 win.

Isaac Yeskey captured the 50-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke for Tyrone, while Trevor Wilson won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke for Altoona.

Alexis Fraundorfer (200 IM and 100 breaststroke) and Charlie Kephart (50 and 100 freestyle) were double winners for the Lady Lions.

Evalyna Aiken took the 100 backstroke and 500 freestyle for the Lady Eagles.

Hollidaysburg beats Heights

LORETTO -- Hollidaysburg swept Cambria Heights at Saint Francis University with the boys claiming an 86-50 win and the girls earning a 100-68 victory.

Maxwell Baronner (50 and 100 freestyles), Chris Shilaos (200 IM and 100 backstroke) and Kaden Henderson (100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke) were double winners for the Golden Tigers.

Jacqueline Bevan (200 and 500 freestyles) was the lone double winner for the Lady Tigers.
