Three PIAA semifinal football games will be held in this area this weekend.
Mansion Park will be the host of two semifinal games, while Central Cambria High School in Ebensburg will host one.
On Friday at 7 p.m., District 7 Class 5A champion Peters Township will take on District 3 5A champ Cocalico at Mansion Park.
Also on Friday at 7 in a Class 4A semifinal, District 7 champ Aliquippa meets District 4 champ Selinsgrove at Central Cambria High School.
Mansion Park will be the host of a Class 6A semifinal on Saturday with District 7 champion North Allegheny taking on District 3 champ Harrisburg at 1 p.m.
In other semifinal games of note:
n District 10 Class 3A champ Hickory, which eliminated Central this past Friday, will play District 7 champ Belle Vernon at North Allegheny High School in Wexford at 7 p.m. Friday.
n District 8's Westinghouse will square off against District 7 champ Beaver Falls in a Class 2A semifinal at West Allegheny High School in Imperial at 7 p.m. Friday.
n District 3 champ Steelton-Highspire and District 4 champ South Williamsport, which knocked out Northern Bedford and Cambria Heights, respectively, will meet in a Class 1A semifinal at Shamokin High School at 7 p.m. Friday.
Winners of the semifinals will advance to the state finals Dec. 7-8-9 which will be held at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg.
