Dibert hat trick good enough for CHS

ROARING SPRING -- Central forward Lakkyn Dibert led the Lady Dragons over Huntingdon with a hat trick and got assists by Carli Hart, Addison Long, and Kira Trexler in a 6-4 win Thursday in high school girls soccer play.

Paiton Campbell scored a 30-yard goal and had an assist. Bethany Kensinger scored and Addison Long scored a back-door goal assisted by Trexler.

The Bearcats' Ella Haffey had two goals while Aleia Eagle and Natalie Gwinn each scored a goal.

BG finishes 17-1

Hailey DeGol and Nicole Hawk each scored two goals to lift Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic to an 8-1 win over Philipsburg-Osceola at Tom Irwin Field.

Emma Marasco added a goal and two assists for BG, which finished the regular season at 17-1 and will be the top seed in the District 6 Class 1A playoffs.

Chloe Matson scored for the Lady Mounties.

Lady Tigers get the shutout

HOLLIDAYSBURG -- Katie Steiner scored an early goal, and Jackie Hajnosz added an insurance goal late to help Hollidaysburg defeat Bald Eagle Area, 2-0.

With the win, the Lady Tigers clinched a spot in Saturday's Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference championship game against Bedford.

Natalie Foster had a shutout in goal.
