Cam Woomer led a group of four Altoona runners who took the top four positions in the boys race at the annual Blair-Huntingdon County Meet in high school cross country competition at Logan Elementary School on Monday.
Woomer finished in 17:33 and was followed by Andrew Quinn, Kody Webster and Dean Sunderland.
Central's Braden Allison finished fifth, and Tyrone's Alex Brumbaugh (ninth) and Ethan McCloskey (10th) rounded out the top 10 in a field that did not include Hollidaysburg or Williamsburg. The Golden Tigers competed in the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference meet on Saturday.
On the girls side, Central's Lanee Berkhimer claimed the championship with a time of 20:08 ahead of Altoona's Ashlyn Noce, who was the runner-up in 20:50. Juniata Valley's Madison Sneath was seventh, and Bellwood-Antis freshman Julie Kraft was 10th.
Hollidaysburg, which did attend the middle school race, got a first-place finish from Jack Singer in 8:55 in the boys race, and Williamsburg's Ava Dixon won the girls race in 9:32.
