Waibel, Wright spark Hollidaysburg victory

HOLLIDAYSBURG -- Luca Waibel scored two goals, and Derek Wright recorded a shutout in goal as Hollidaysburg defeated Clearfield, 3-0, in high school boys soccer Tuesday.

The Golden Tigers, who led 1-0 at the break, improved to 6-3 while the Bison fell to 3-6.

Dillon leads PC

EBENSBURG — Penn Cambria scored five goals in the first half en route to a 6-1 win over Bishop Carroll.

Andrew Dillon scored a hat trick for the Panthers. He also added two assists.

Will Tremmel scored the Huskies only goal.

Ridge topped

JOHNSTOWN -- Chestnut Ridge surrendered three goals in less than two minutes early in the second half to Richland in a 5-0 Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference loss.

The Lions trailed just 1-0 at the break after a goal by Logan Tedrow gave the Rams the lead.

Richland got goals from Jacob Cessna, Landon Shearman and Dante Henry to break the match open.

Cessna tacked on another late to set the final. Braden Hirsch stopped six shots to earn the shutout.

Kaylee Dowdell and Mariah Andrews also scored for Windber. Alyssa Yeatts scored on a penalty shot for Northern.
