Tyrone picks up first victory

EBENSBURG -- The Tyrone Area High School boys soccer team earned its first victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Bishop Carroll on Tuesday.

Rocky Romani's unassisted goal at 26:04 of the first half was the winner.

Blair tops GC

DUNCANSVILLE -- Caedmon Dull scored three goals and assisted on another to help Blair County Christian edge Great Commission, 5-3.

Seth Nicodemus assisted on three goals and also scored one for BCC, and Harrison Hollis scored a goal.

Aaron Kurty, Landyn Summers and Jakson Moore each had a goal for Great Commission.

CRESSON -- Luke Rouff's second-half goal lifted Penns Valley to a 1-0 victory over Penn Cambria.

Penns Valley keeper Owen Robb stopped all seven PC shots, and PC's Duncan Gongloff turned away 10 for Penns Valley's 11 shots.

CC gets victory

EBENSBURG -- Three different players scored goals to help Central Cambria edge Huntingdon, 3-1.

Aidan Illig, Jack Muldoon and Matt Kirsch scored for the Red Devils, now 2-8-1.

Campbell shines

JOHNSTOWN -- Avery Campbell made contributions on all four goals to help Central knock off Johnstown, 4-0.

Campbell scored two goals, and he also assisted on goals by Lane Kephart and Robert Long-Yarrison. Keeper Connor Biddle recorded the shutout with five saves.

Ridge falls short

CLAYSBURG -- Chestnut Ridge got down by four goals early in the second half and despite two late goals were unable to come back in a 6-4 loss to Bellefonte in the first-ever varsity boys soccer match at Claysburg-Kimmel's Bulldog Stadium.

Elias Ritchey fronted the Lions with three goals and an assist, while Cameron Claycomb notched the other goal.

Levi Moyer and Grady McDonald registered an assist each for Ridge (1-9-0).
