Northern Bedford volleyball perfect

LOYSBURG -- The Northern Bedford girls volleyball team improved to 4-0 Wednesday night, thanks to a 25-10, 25-18, 25-10 win over Claysburg-Kimmel in high school action.

Lacy McIlnay had 12 assists for NBC to go with 11 kills from Madison Miller, 11 digs each from Dani Imler and Halle Lingenfelter and 16 service points from Lindsey Bollinger.

Lady Spikers win

Altoona moved to 2-0 in girls volleyball with a 25-20, 25-18, 27-25, 25-20 win over Cedar Cliff at the Fieldhosue.

Sydney Stroup had 26 digs and 14 kills for Altoona to go with 13 kills and 10 digs from Ava Steinbugl, 30 digs from Aunye Counsman, 21 assists and 12 digs from Sami Page and 13 assits and 10 digs from Jorja Treece.

MARTINSBURG -- Trailing 2-0, Bellwood-Antis came back to beat Central, 16-25, 13-25, 25-21, 25-11, 15-9 in a girls volleyball game from Tuesday night.

Ava Patton had 17 digs and 14 service points to go with 18 assists from Avah Hassler. Jessie Corrado added 27 digs to go with 11 kills from Addy Turek.

Lady Lions triumph

HARRISON CITY -- The Altoona girls tennis team improved to 3-1 with a 3-2 win at Penn Trafford in high school action.

The Lady Lions got singles wins from Bella Graham, and two doubles victories from the teams of Lily Adams and Courtney Irwin, along with Triumph Kilmartin and Orianna Dent.

With the score tied 2-2, Graham clinched the win with a third-set superbreaker.

The Lady Eagles got singles wins from Emma Witkamp, Nicole Ramsey, Hannah McClellan and Ezri Bumgarner.

A doubles victory was turned in by the team of Mariah Miles and Cassidy Fleck.

Mustangs stumble

LORETTO -- Sam Sharbaugh shot a 37 to lead Conemaugh Township to a 221-234 win over Portage in high school action at the Immergrun Golf Course.

The Mustangs (5-8) got a 40 from Jonah Irvin.

Red Devils get two

CHERRY TREE -- Central Cambria picked up two wins at the Chetremon Golf Course, beating West Shamokin and Northern Cambria, in high school play.

The Red Devils (196) got a 37 from Karter Cuppett. Alex Talmadge led Shamokin (206) with a 36 while Brady Houser's 34 led Northern Cambria (211).

HUNTINGDON -- Chestnut Ridge fell behind, 4-0, at halftime en route to a 7-3 loss at Huntingdon in boys soccer action from Tuesday night.

Preston Pittman led the Lions with a goal and an assist. Grady McDonald and Bronson Buchanan each added solo goals.
