CLEARFIELD -- The Tyrone Area High School girls tennis team evened its record at 5-5 Tuesday, besting Clearfield, 4-1.
The Lady Eagles got singles wins from Emma Witkamp, Nicole Ramsey and Hannah McClellan. The team of Carena Eamigh and Bella Lair earned a doubles victory.

AAHS wins
DERRY -- In a rain-shortened match, Altoona defeated Derry, 3-0, to improve its record to 5-1 in girls high school tennis.
No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles did not get to finish because of the weather.
Lady Lion winners included Bella Graham at No. 2 singles and Olivia McMinn at No. 3. The team of Andie Adams and Skylar Irwin won at No. 1 doubles.

SPRING MILLS -- Blake Pennington finished third for the Bellwood-Antis girls in the team's 25-34 win at Penns Valley in high school cross country.
She finished in 23:20.
On the boys side, Martin Fatzinger placed third in 20:41 for B-A in its 24-33 loss to the Rams.
