Guilfoyle hands WB first loss

The Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic girls soccer team handed West Branch (6-1) its first loss, winning 3-0 at Tom Irwin Field, on Thursday.

The Lady Marauders (10-0) got two goals from Nicole Hawk and a shutout in goal from CeCe Rumfola.

PATTON -- Brooklyn Galinis scored twice, and Hallie Hayes added a goal to lift the Cambria Heights girls to a 3-0 win over McCort-Carroll.

BEDFORD -- The Altoona girls trimmed Bedford, 3-2, with the help of two goals by Hailey Kravetz and a goal by Alli Little that Kravetz assisted.

Ben Johnson added a pair of goals for the Golden Tigers, who improved to 7-3.

Rocky Romani scored Tyrone's goal on a penalty kick.

FISHERTOWN -- Preston Pittman registered a hat trick and Dominic Ponder earned his first career shutout in goal as the Chestnut Ridge boys beat Greater Johnstown, 6-0, in a Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference game.

Elias Ritchey, Grady McDonald and Cameron Claycomb netted one goal apiece, while Evan Showalter added an assist for the Lions which won for the first time this season.
