HOLLIDAYSBURG -- In a match where all four teams were separated by just seven strokes from first to last, Hollidaysburg edged out West Shamokin, Saint Joseph's and Central Mountain in high school boys golf at Scotch Valley Country Club Monday.
Isaac Miller carded an 80 for the Golden Tigers, and Keagan Hockey posted an 81.
Saint Joseph's sophomore Maddie Koshko, the defending Class 2A girls golf champion, was the medalist with a 69.

n EBENSBURG -- Central, led by Nick Baum's 75 and Griffin Snowberger's 76, defeated six other Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference teams at a match at Ebensburg Country Club.
The Dragons, who finished with a team score of 320 -- five strokes better than runner-up Central Cambria -- also got an 80 from Zack Oakes.
The Red Devils got a 78 from Austin Semelsberger and a 79 from Karter Cuppett.
Tyrone finished seventh as a team, but R.J. Royer was the indvidual medalist with a 71.
Third-place finisher Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic got an 83 from Nick Helsley, fourth-place finisher Bishop Carroll got an 89 from Luke Repko and fifth-place finisher Penn Cambria got an 88 from Zack Martynuska.
Bellwood-Antis, which finished in sixth place, got a 75 from Ethan Johnston.

Girls tennis
Isabella Graham and Olivia McMinn won singles matches to help Altoona defeat Central Cambria, 4-1, in girls high school tennis at Mansion Park Monday.
Lily Adams and Triumph Kilmartin won at No. 1 doubles, and Courtney Irwin and Oriana Dent won at No. 2 doubles.
Marley Ratchford got a victory at No. 1 singles for the Lady Devils.

Crosby Denis, Megan Ferris and Regan McKee each won in straight sets in singles play, as did the doubles teams of Nina Meadows and Grace Muriceak, and Sarah Neatrour and CeCe Williams.

MARTINSBURG -- In high school cross country, Lanee Berkhimer won the girls race in 21:17, and Braden Allison captured the boys race in 20:20 for Central at a meet that wasn't team scored against Northern Bedford and Williamsburg.
Dhylan Miller (third, 21:10) and Savanna Hershberger (second, 23:49) were the top finishers for Northern Bedford, and Dayne Mock (fourth, 21:47) and Macy Norris (fourth, 27:15) were best for Williamsburg.
