MINGOVILLE -- The high school boys golf teams from Central, Bishop Guilfoyle and Penn Cambria competed in a Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference at the Nittany Country Club on Tuesday in a cross-section match where the Scarlet Dragons came out on top.
Central finished with a 314 while BG was second at 334. Penn Cambria took fourth (359) out of the seven teams in competition.
The Marauders' Brody Partner-Gore medaled along with Bellefonte's Isaac Bloom at 71. Central was led by Nick Baum's 74. Penn Cambria's top golfer was Zack Martynuska at 83.
Clearfield was led by Luke Dixon's 90, Westmont Hilltop's Caden Miller was tops at 84 and Somerset's Kai Petrosky finished at 85. Westmont finished third (351), Bellefonte fifth (364), Clearfield sixth (367) and Somerset last at 392.

LHAC part 2
PORT MATILDA -- Hollidaysburg, Central Cambria and Tyrone finished in the top three at a Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference crossover high school golf meet held at the Skytop Mountain Golf Club.
Led by Isaac Miller's 72, the Golden Tigers finished first at 322 while Central Cambria, which took second at 330, was led by Austin Semelsberger's 76. Tyrone was third at 366, thanks to a 74 from RJ Royer.
Forest Hills, fourth at 368, was led by Elijah Sorchilla's 88, Richland, fifth at 383, got a 92 from Maddox Vojtko, Bald Eagle Area was sixth at 396 behind an 89 from Wade Habovick, and Chestnut Ridge, 401 and in seventh, got an 87 from Brody Kissell.
Cambria Heights' Ian Nagel was the only Highlander in the competition. He shot an 86.

PC girls falter
BLAIRSVILLE -- The Penn Cambria girls dropped two at the Chestnut Ridge Golf Course, finishing third at 211 to Ligonier Valley's 149 and River Valley's 164.
The Lady Panthers were led by Alyssa Ropp who finished at 68.
Marean Dunlap led all golfers with a 46 for River Valley.
