The Glendale softball team will play Tri-Valley this afternoon at 3 at Central Mountain High School in a semifinal game in the PIAA Class 1A playoffs.
The game was postponed on Monday because of rain.
The winner will play on Friday morning against Union for the state championship at Penn State. Union defeated Claysburg-Kimmel on Monday in the bracket's other semifinal game.
Everett moves on
DuBOIS -- The Everett girls softball team will play for the PIAA Class 2A state championship on Thursday morning, thanks to a 9-6 win over Neshannock Monday afternoon.
Neshannock was the WPIAL champion and the defending state champion that came into Monday's game with a 48-game winning streak.
The Lady Warriors, who improved to 25-0, scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead for good.
Cloe Price had two doubles and three RBIs for Everett, which also received two hits and two RBIs from Addison Wood.
Everett will play either South Williamsport or Bald Eagle Area, who play today in the state's other 2A semifinal, on Thursday morning.
