JOHNSTOWN -- The Central High School baseball team won a pair of games in Johnstown on Friday, 17-2, over Johnstown and 4-2 over Bishop McCort, to finish the regular season 18-2.
In the first game, Byler picked up the win while Jeff Hoenstine, Griffin Snowberger, Baron Dionis, Britton Marko, Kyle Klotz, Dalton Metzger, Kaden Fisher and Luke Bettwy all reached base multiple times.
Kaleb Mountain and Dionis combined to allow just two hits and struck out eight in the win over McCort.
Klotz and Fisher each had two hits against the Crushers, and Metzger had a go-ahead hit.
Pirates win
BELLWOOD -- Williamsburg defeated Bellwood-Antis, 13-3, to improve to 8-9. The Blue Devils fell to 11-8. No other details were reported on the game to the Mirror at deadline.
Heights rallies
PATTON -- Tristan Weakland and Zane Miller homered and drove in four runs each to help Cambria Heights score five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and rally past rival Northern Cambria, 10-8.
It was just the Colts' third loss of the season.
