HOLLIDAYSBURG -- Nathan Barton and Jadd Younes won singles matches, and Haddy Obeid and Michael Waibel and Felix Xu and Garrett Bouchard won doubles matches for Hollidaysburg in its 4-1 win over Altoona Thursday in boys high school tennis action.
Kadyn Carey won a singles match for the Mountain Lions.
"This was a great win for us today against a really good team," Hollidaysburg coach Brian Denis said. "We had some players really step and play extremely well. It was a nice way to finish off an outstanding regular season."
Hollidaysburg finishes the regular season at 17-1 while Altoona fell to 11-5.

BG sweeps
MARTINSBURG -- The Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic boys volleyball team swept Central, 25-11, 25-15, 25-20, behind 22 assists from Ian Bennett, who also had 10 service points, five kills, two blocks and five digs.
Matthew Woolridge had eight kills for the Marauders (4-8).
Christian Cherry, Bryson Brooks, and Christian Heuston all had four kills, and Logan Hummel had 14 assists for Central (0-12).
