Kamzik, big offense lead Lady Red Devils to win

CRESSON -- Kami Kamzik tossed a five-inning one-hitter in leading Central Cambria to a 10-0 win over Penn Cambria in high school softball action on Thursday.

The Lady Red Devils (7-0), who scored seven runs in the fifth to end the game, got two hits and two RBIs each from Aubrey Ruddek and Olivia Janosik. Katie Scott and Olivia Link each added two hits.

Lily Sheehan had Penn Cambria's lone hit.

Winning pitcher Lacey Lynn struck out five to help keep Central perfect at 7-0. Westmont was handed its first loss at 4-1.

Glendale dominates

FLINTON -- Jillian Taylor drilled a home run and single and drove in five runs as Glendale downed Juniata Valley, 16-1, in three innings.

Glendale's Riley Best homered, doubled and drove in two, Ava Weld drove in three runs, Kaprice Cavalet had two RBIs, and Kelly Kasaback collected two hits.

Madison Peterson gave up just one hit and struck out five.

Williamsburg wins

HOUTZDALE -- Williamsburg scored five runs in the first inning and went on to beat Moshannon Valley, 10-1.

Kara Lansberry fired a one-hitter for the Lady Pirates, giving up just a solo home run, and she went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Anastasia Ranalli had two hits and two RBIs, and Eleanor Brubaker went 3-for-4.
