WILLIAMSBURG -- Rowan Gorsuch pitched a one-hitter for the Williamsburg baseball team on Tuesday, leading the Blue Pirates to a 7-1 win over Juniata Valley in high school play.
Gorsuch struck out seven and did not walk a batter. Of the 79 pitches he threw, 52 were for strikes. The run was unearned.
Colton Verbonitz's three hits and an RBI were tops for Williamsburg, which improved to 6-3. Teammate Luke Uplinger added two hits and an RBI.

Landon Chrisemer went 2-for-2 with three RBIs for the Trojans, Cainen Atherton had a double, home run and two RBIs, and winning pitcher Ryan Scott gave up just three hits and drove in two runs.
Bellwood's Matt Berkowitz had two RBIs.
