MARTINSBURG -- Britton Marko had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs as Central topped Bishop McCort, 9-2, to remain unbeaten in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Kyle Klotz was 3-for-3, and Baron Dionis drove in two runs. Luke Bettwy was the winning pitcher.

Mustangs win two

PORTAGE -- Portage won a pair of nailbiters over Cambria Heights on Wednesday.

The Mustangs topped the Highlanders in a completion of a suspended game, 12-11, by scoring twice in the top of the eighth inning and holding on in the bottom.

Connor Binaut had three hits and four RBIs in that game, and Bill Dobrowlsky had a pair of hits and three RBIs for the Mustangs. Ty Stockley had two hits and two RBIs, and Garrett Jasper homered for the Highlanders.

In the regularly scheduled game, Cambria Heights scored twice in the top of the seventh to take the lead, but Portage rallied with two in the bottom of the inning for a walk-off, 6-5 win.

Luke Scarton had two hits and two RBIs for the Mustangs, and Stephen Nelen had three hits and scored three times for Heights. Stockley added two hits and three RBIs for the Highlanders.
