MARTINSBURG -- Jeff Hoenstine had two doubles and two RBIs, Griffin Snowberger had three hits, Baron Dionis had three hits and scored four runs, Britton Marko scored three runs, Kyle Klotz had three RBIs, Dalton Metzger had two hits including a triple and Lukas Black had two hits and three RBIs as Central topped Chestnut Ridge, 15-5, in high school action Wednesday afternoon.

The victory snapped a two-game losing streak for Central after the Dragons had won 34 straight games.

For Ridge, Nate Whysong and Garrett Emerick both had three hits.

Kaleb Mountain picked up the win, striking out seven for the Dragons.

Jasper wins duel

MARION CENTER -- Ty Stockley's RBI single in the fifth inning to score Stephen Nelen was all sophomore starter Garrett Jasper needed in a 1-0 victory for Cambria Heights over Marion Center.

Jasper went six innings, allowed just three hits and struck out 12 for the Highlanders.
