BEDFORD -- Central's Eli Lingenfelter was named the boys outstanding jumper after winning the high jump by clearing 6 feet and led the Scarlet Dragons to a team championship over runner-up Bedford at the Giant Eagle Invitational on Saturday.
Teammate Rylan Daugherty won the javelin, and Central won the 400-meter relay.
Chestnut Ridge's Sam Albright won both hurdles and was named the meet's outstanding runner. Penns Manor's Alex Polenik won the shot put and the discus and was outstanding thrower.
Bedford's 1600-meter relay team set a new meet record in 3:32.29, and Richland's Logan Gossard topped the meet's pole vault record by clearing 13 feet, 6 inches.
On the girls side, Bedford topped Forest Hills to win the team title.
Tyrone's Reagan Irons won the triple jump with a leap of 33 feet, 8.25 inches and was named the meet's outstanding girls jumper.
Richland's Sasha Garnett was the top thrower and set a meet record of 43 feet, 2 inches in the shot put.
Delaney Dumm was the girls outstanding runner and set meet records in winning both the 1600- and 3200-meter runs.
Somerset's Sydney Rush set the meet record in the 100-meter dash at 12.37 and helped the Lady Eagles set the 400 relay record in 49.98.
Conemaugh Township's Izzy Slezak broke the meet record in the 200-meter dash at 26.1, Homer-Center's Justley Sharp established a new record in the discus at 137 feet, 6 inches and Chestnut Ridge's Belle Bosch topped her closest competitor in the javelin by nearly 30 feet in setting a new mark of 142 feet, 1 inch.
