Garner hat trick leads Central

ROARING SPRING -- Ella Garner booted in three goals to power the Central girls past Central Cambria, 5-0, and remain unbeaten at 14-0 in high school soccer action on Monday.

Brynn Miller and Carli Hart also scored goals for the Lady Dragons, and the defense, led by Danielle Heltzel, Rachel Theys, Jenna Smith, Skyler Miller, Paiton Campbell and keeper Darcy Heltzel, limited the Lady Devils to two shots on goal.

Lainey Farabaugh scored six goals to help the Bishop Guilfoyle girls beat Richland, 9-1, at Tom Irwin Field.

Farabaugh, who recently scored her 150th goal of her career, added two assists for the Lady Marauders (9-5). Teammate Claire Cammarata had three assists.

Tigers nip Bellefonte

BELLEFONTE -- In a matchup of the top two teams in District 6 Class 3A, the Hollidaysburg boys edged Bellefonte, 1-0.

Nate Barton scored the game-winning goal on an assist from Eric Arbogast. Hollidaysburg keeper Derek Wright earned the shutout.
