WILLIAMSBURG -- Williamsburg resident Jerry Palmer was appointed as the varsity baseball head coach by the Williamsburg Community School Board during its meeting Tuesday evening.
This will be Palmer's second year helping out with the district's varsity baseball team -- he was a volunteer for the 2021-22 season. His appointment will be effective immediately, and he will receive a stipend of $2,554.
As head coach, Palmer will be replacing Robert McCall, whose resignation was accepted by the board during its July meeting.
