Pitt reveals opponents
PITTSBURGH - The University of Pittsburgh men's basketball team released its non-conference schedule for the 2022-23 season on Thursday, highlighted by the 189th meeting of the Backyard Brawl against West Virginia as part of their seven-game non-conference home schedule.
Pitt will open the season Monday, Nov. 7 against Tennessee Martin before hosting WVU on Friday, Nov. 11. The Panthers will then travel to Brooklyn, N.Y., for the Legends Classic (Nov. 16-17) where they will compete against Arizona State, Michigan and VCU).
Pitt will host Alabama State (Nov. 20), Farleigh Dickinson (Nov. 22) and William & Mary (Nov. 25) before hitting the road to face Northwestern (Nov. 28) in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and Vanderbilt (Dec. 7). Non-conference play concludes with home games against Sacred Heart (Dec. 10) and North Florida (Dec. 17).
