STATE COLLEGE -- Led by winning pitcher Erik Rhodes' three hits and four RBIs, Altoona downed State College, 15-7, and improved its record to 10-5 in high school baseball action on Tuesday.
Matt Moyer and Lucas Muffie each added two hits and three RBIs, Sean Bettwy collected three hits, and Ethan Hileman and Connor Blough added two hits apiece.
Altoona banged out 18 hits and scored five runs in both the second and third innings.
Tony Herzing led State College with three hits, and Ethan Schimony added two hits and three RBIs.

Portage sweeps Windber
PORTAGE -- Tyler Alexander tossed a complete game, struck out 14, allowed four hits and also scored twice as Portage captured the first game of a doubleheader with Windber, 6-2.
Mason Kargo led the Mustangs with two hits and two RBIs, while Isaac Jubina knocked in a pair of teammates.
Portage took the second game by a 13-2 score in six innings as Luke Scarton tallied two hits and pushed across four runs.
Andrew Miko collected three hits and two RBIs, while also striking out seven on the mound to pick up the win.
Nathan Moore had two hits and three RBIs for the Mustangs.
