Cumberland Valley's Nate Miller took a perfect game into the bottom of the sixth inning before surrendering a two-out, three run double to Altoona's Lucas Muffie that tied the game at Mansion Park in high school baseball action Thursday.
Altoona won the game in the bottom of the eighth when Erik Rhodes' one-out single scored Aidan Steinbugl with the winning run. Steinbugl, who was the winning pitcher in relief, had singled and reached second on a Muffie single.
With the win, Altoona moved into second place in the Mid-Penn conference with one more league game left.
The Mountain Lions improved to 11-5 overall, while Cumberland Valley fell to 13-5.
