EBENSBURG -- Central erupted for eight runs in the top of the eighth inning and beat Central Cambria, 9-1, in a game that was scoreless after six innings in high school softball on Monday.
Lacey Lynn threw a two-hitter and struck out 18 for the Lady Dragons, and she also had three hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs.
Averey Black, Maya Hazenstab, Madison Kennedy, Bralyn Ellis, Aubrey Rhodes and Ashlyn Renner each had two hits for the Lady Dragons.
Central improved to 13-1, and Central Cambria slipped to 13-3.

CLYMER -- Eleven different players registered a hit in Cambria Heights' 14-1 five-inning win over Penns Manor.
Ellie Bender had two hits for Heights, now 11-1, and Rea Kosicki, Lexi Griak, Madison Bender and Rylee Bernecky each drove in two runs for the Lady Highlanders.
Kenna Rogal earned the win in the circle. She and Karin Adams combined on a two-hitter.
Penns Manor, down 8-0 after one inning, fell to 2-11.
