Yanoshak scores in ND spring game

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic graduate Andrew Yanoshak caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from Notre Dame quarterback Drew Pyne just before halftime in the Irish’s spring football game, held Saturday in front of 33,754 fans.

Yanoshak’s touchdown for the Blue team put that squad up by 10, but Gold stormed back for a 13-10 triumph.

“It felt great, especially after a long rehab from ACL surgery,” Yanoshak told the Mirror. “Everyone was jumping on me after I scored and congratulating me, and then everyone from home was texting me. A few kids in the stands wanted my autograph. It was awesome.”

Yanoshak is a sophomore fullback/tight end at Notre Dame.
