Hollidaysburg opens with sweep

HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Hollidaysburg boys and girls track and field teams opened their season Tuesday with wins over Huntingdon and Philipsburg-Osceola in the Mountain League.
The Tiger boys won 112-38 over P-O and 102-48 over Huntingdon, while the Bearcats bested P-O, 101-48. The Lady Tigers won 113-37 over Huntingdon and 114-36 over P-O. The Lady Mounties beat Huntingdon, 79-71.
On the boys side, Ryan Frank won the 100 and 200 runs, while also anchoring the 1600 relay which included Drew Wyland, Elijah Ransom and Isaac Yarnell.
For the girls, Marin Miller won the 100 and 200 runs as well as the long jump.

B-A teams lose at Bedford
BEDFORD -- Both the Bellwood-Antis boys and girls teams lost on the road to Bedford.
The Lady Bisons won 106-44, while the Bisons were victorious 110-40.
Anna Lovrich was the lone double winner for the Lady Blue Devils as she claimed the 800 and 1600 run.
Hunter Shawley captured the 110 and 300 hurdles for the Blue Devils.
