HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School accepted the resignation of 14-year head girls soccer coach Dave Soellner.
Under Soellner, the Lady Tigers captured six consecutive District 6 Class 3A titles from 2016-2021. His 168 wins with the Lady Tigers makes him the winningest girls soccer coach in school history.
"We truly appreciate Coach Soellner's hard work and dedication to our student-athletes over the last 16 years,'' Hollidaysburg athletic director Homer DeLattre said. "Dave's leadership and passion has made our girls soccer program well-known, not only in this area, but across the PIAA landscape. We wish him the best.''
Soellner served two years as the head junior high school coach before becoming the head coach of the program in 2008. Many of his players have gone on to play at the college level.
"Thank you for letting me be a part of the Hollidaysburg family," Soellner said.
