Altoona golf tops Huntingdon

HUNTINGDON — Altoona’s depth helped the Mountain Lions top Huntingdon, 328-350, at the Huntingdon Country Club in high school boys golf Tuesday.

Sean Eakins was the medalist for Altoona, and Trent Meyers, Jordan Lestochi and Landon Baker all carded an 83 in a balanced effort for the Lions.

HUNTINGDON (350): Suchan 80, Marshall 83, Houck 87, Kester 100.

Kissell helps ‘Stangs

CRESSON — Portage topped North Star, 225-284, and Ferndale, 225-334, behind George Kissell’s medalist score of 40 at the Summit Country Club.

Rice leads BG

Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic edged West Shamokin, 229-233, at Park Hills Golf Course behind senior medalist Nate Rice’s score of 40.

Rice and Devyn DeGennaro were honored as part of BG’s senior night.

TYRONE — Ethan Johnson’s medalist score of 46 helped Bellwood-Antis pick up a pair of Inter-County Conference victories, 212-219, over Claysburg-Kimmel and 212-229 over McConnellsburg.

The Bulldogs got a 52 from Josh Emeigh, which helped them defeat McConnellsburg.

Wes Eberhart had Hollidaysburg’s best score with an 85.
