Cumming handed first setback

Lilly scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning to record a 4-2 come-from-behind win over Cumming Motors in a Greater City League/AAABA game Monday night at Juniata.

Brock Porter drove in two of the runs for Lilly (8-2) whilie Matt Minor got credit for another RBI. Cody Gallaher added two hits. Kevin Lehner and Jake Hillard each drove in a run for Cumming (5-1) with Lehner’s coming on a home run.

Winning pitcher Shane Suter pitched a complete-game 3-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks Only one run was earned. Dylan Gearhart suffered the loss. He struck out three, walked one, gave up six hits and all four runs were unearned.

Foose delivers

Ben Foose delivered a two-run single in the fifth inning to lift Blair County Oil to a 2-1 win over Sheetz in Greater City League action at Mansion Park.

Winning pitcher Mark Saxman struck out seven and walked just one in scattering four hits.

Ryan Slagenweit drove in the lone run for Sheetz.

Pitching duo shine

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Austin Estep and Zac Barton combined on a two-hitter to help Hollidaysburg beat St. Michaels, 6-4, in Cambria Legion baseball action.

Each pitcher allowed one hit as Hollidaysburg improved to 4-4.

Nick Peterson had two hits while teammate Gabe Herman added two RBIs.

Baney has big game

Brenden Baney had two triples and three RBIs, plus was the winning pitcher in relief, as Park Home downed Stuckey Automotive, 13-5, at Vets Field in a Kelley Federation game.

Aaron Carothers added two hits and two RBIs for Park Home, which led 7-3, after three innings.

Joey DeRubeis and Dawson Rightenour also had two hits each for Park Home.

Winning pitcher Brady Steiner struck out nine, while Paul Wedel and Steiner each added two hits and two RBIs. Gavin Bell added two RBIs to go with two hits from Nate Kessler.

n Beauchamp Plumbing & Heating improved to 7-4 with a 7-3 win over Bavarian Hall in a Senior Babe Ruth League from Sunday at Seitz Field. Wyatt Young got the win and teammate Connor Lindsey had two hits.

n Winning pitcher Caden Gibbons had two hits in Eldorado Kiwanis’ 13-2 victory over McAbee’s Super Subs in an Altoona Teener Minor League game Sunday at Seitz Field.
