Red Flash defeat Pitt for first time

PITTSBURGH – For Saint Francis, the 30th time was a charm.

The Red Flash defeated Pittsburgh, 80-70, Wednesday night at the Peterson Events Center to open the 2020-21 season by beating Pitt for the first time after 29 previous losses in the series.

Senior Ramiir Dixon-Conover scored a career-high 21 points and four other players were in double figures as Saint Francis built a 13-point halftime advantage and led by as many as 20 points in the second half.

Junior Myles Thompson, senior Mark Flagg and freshmen Ronell Giles, Jr. and Maxwell Land all contributed double-digit scoring.
