Murphys win tourney
HOLLIDAYSBURG — Harry Murphy and Brian Murphy won the Sylvan Hills Golf Club’s Father and Son Tournament on Sunday.
Don Boland and Mark Boland were second, while Gary Zimmerman and Jason Zimmerman finished third.
During Thursday night action in Week 7 the low gross was Jim Pequignot, who shot a 38. Neil Waldron and Stan Wojcik shot a 32 in the low net. Dave Biseli and Michael Clowson won closest to the pin award.
In the Par 3 tournament held Tuesday, the winners were Danene Engle, Mary Jane Terza, Sandy Murphy and Karen Duffet. The longest putt was Rosey McCoy and Mary Jane Terza. The closest to the pin was Nancy Moore.
Scotch Valley
HOLLIDAYSBURG — Debby Stitt, Cindy Trimarco, Mary Provst and Bernie Mayancsik shot a 32 in a scramble to win the Scotch Valley Ladies Event recently.
In the UPMC Altoona Foundation Golf Classic, Anthony DeGol, Dennis DeGol, Ron Hinish and Danny Stubbs won the AM group, and Tom Mishler, Bill Smith, Brett Smith and Dave Bramer won the PM group.
Summit
CRESSON — In a two-player scramble using a point system for scoring results, John Dziabo and Quintin Dziabo won Flight A with 36 points at the Summit Country Club.
Mike Reese and Collin Reese won Flight B with 32. Vaughn Lewis and Ian Lewis won Flight C, and Bob Maher and Rob Maher won Flight D.
Pat Shell, Bill Snyder and Randy Repko won closest tee shot awards.
Rose Storm, Denny Storm, John Dziabo and Mike Funicelli won a four-player scramble at the St. Augustine’s Church Benefit Outing with a score of 55. Dave Pribozie, John Dziabo, Vic Beach, Bill Simanski and Rose Storm won the skill prizes.
