Martynuska, Panthers shut out Huskies, 3-0

LILLY – Garrett Martynuska got the better of Ray Watt in a pitchers’ duel as Penn Cambria got the 3-0 Laurel Highlands Conference victory over visiting Bishop Carroll in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Martynuska only needed 74 pitches to shut out Carroll on two hits and no walks, getting a double and an RBI each from Jonah Diehl and Gavin Martynuska. Watt held the Panthers to five hits, but Penn Cambria won with solo tallies in the first, third and fourth.
