From Mirror reports AKRON, OH — The Altoona Curve saw its record fall to 8-27 on Wednesday night, dropping a 4-3 decision to the Akron RubberDucks. Seth Beer collected just his second career triple for Altoona, which had a 3-1 lead at one point in the game, but the RubberDucks rallied late at Canal Park to improve to 23-12. AKRON, OH — Braxton Ashcraft set career-highs with seven scoreless innings and 10 strikeouts on Tuesday morning for the Altoona Curve, but a late surge from the Akron RubberDucks resulted in a walk-off defeat for the Curve, 2-1, at Canal Park. From Mirror reports The Altoona Curve and Somerset Patriots were postponed due to rain on Friday night at Peoples Natural Gas Field. The game will be made up as a doubleheader on Saturday with a 2 p.m. first pitch in game one. The doubleheader will consist of two seven-inning games. The fireworks for Saturday’s game will be rescheduled for a future date this season. Those with tickets to Friday’s game will be able to exchange them for another home game this season of equal or lesser value, subject to availability.
