The Altoona Curve will take the field in just a few short months, but they’ll be doing so under a new manager during the 2025 season. This comes after 2024 manager Robby Hammock left the Pirates organization recently to take a role as the Major League field coordinator for the San Diego Padres. Hammock led the Curve to a 62-76 record last season after coaching the High-A Greensboro Grasshoppers the previous two seasons. Curve announce safety measure improvements

Safety is the name of the game for those attending any type of sporting event, especially a baseball game where balls, bats, and players can leave the playing field. Altoona Curve Charities, a 501(c)3 organization devoted to supporting local youth programs and organizations, announced on Friday that Grant Applications for the 2024 Grant Program are available now to area nonprofits that promote healthy living for the betterment of youth and community. The Altoona Curve announced home game times and fireworks dates for the 2025 season on Wednesday. Game times are subject to change. The 2025 season will again feature 6 p.m. start times for many of the team’s home games with 19 postgame fireworks shows slated throughout the 69-game home schedule. Altoona is again slated to play 138 games in the Eastern League regular season and will face every team for the first time since 2019, hosting nine of 11 possible opponents at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
