HARRISBURG -- Infielder Javier Rivas became the fifth Curve hitter to reach 10 homers this season in an 8-4 win over the Harrisburg Senators on Sunday afternoon at FNB Field.
Altoona scored two early runs on bases-loaded walks in the second inning and built up a 5-2 advantage after five innings.
Rivas slammed a solo homer to lead off the fourth inning. Easton Carmichael added an RBI triple in the fifth and Will Taylor brought him home with a single back through the middle.
On the mound, Altoona sent six different arms into the game. Jarod Bayless earned the win with 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief across the fourth and fifth innings with three strikeouts. Tyler Owens and Justin Meis combined for 2 2/3 scoreless frames of relief to wrap up the victory with Aaron Shortridge tossing 1 1/3 innings.
Camden Janik drove in a pair of runs for the Curve with a 1-for-4 day at the plate.
Saturday's game
Harrisburg earned an 8-5 win over the Curve on Saturday night.
Altoona's offense got off to a hot start in the top of the first with a three-run homer from Carmichael.
Harrisburg rallied back with three runs in the first and added another in the second to take a 4-3 lead against Curve starter Matt Ager, who later gave up two solo home runs.
The Curve quickly pulled within 5-4 with a two-run single from Keiner Delgado after a double from Matt King and a walk from Jesus Castillo. Delgado finished with three hits and two RBIs.
Harrisburg went up 8-5 against Jaycob Deese.

Altoona returns to PNG Field on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. to begin its final series of the season against the Akron RubberDucks. LHP Connor Oliver is slated to start the series opener for the Curve with RHP Braylon Doughty on the mound for the RubberDucks.
