AKRON, Ohio -- Altoona and Akron wrapped up their series on Sunday afternoon with the RubberDucks earning their second straight 4-3 decision.
Held without a hit through the first five innings by Akron starter Caden Favors, Will Taylor hammered the first pitch of the sixth inning over the left field wall to give the Curve a 1-0 lead.
Curve starter Kyle Robinson tossed five scoreless frames.
Akron scored four times against the Curve bullpen in the sixth inning, using an RBI single from Ryan Cesarini to tie the game. The Ducks plated two runs with the bases loaded on a wild pitch and added another insurance run on a sacrifice fly by Christian Knapczyk.
Keiner Delgado hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to bring the Curve within a run, but the Curve couldn't manage a base-runner in the ninth inning.
Murf Gray extended his on-base streak to nine games with an infield single in the seventh inning.
Saturday's game
Akron earned their second walk-off win of the week, earning a 4-3 win over the Curve on Saturday night.
The Curve entered the bottom of the ninth with a 3-2 lead and Mike Walsh on the mound. Akron earned a leadoff walk from Alex Mooney and he advanced to second when Tyreese Turner bunted his way aboard.
Nick Mitchell then bunted again and Walsh's throw to third went wide of the bag and allowed the game-tying run to score. Nolan Schubart finished off the game with a single to deep right field.
Altoona managed three runs off Akron starter Braylon Doughty across the first three innings.
Curve starter Matt Ager tossed four innings and struck out six while limiting the Ducks to just two runs.

Altoona returns to PNG Field on Tuesday to begin a series with the Chesapeake Baysox at 6:30 p.m. Altoona will send LHP Connor Oliver to the mound with the Baysox starter to be announced.
